Scott Erik Stafne is a well-established and renowned attorney in the United States with nearly five decades of legal practice. Admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1976 (WSBA No. 6964), he is the founder of Stafne Law Advocacy & Consulting, a public-interest oriented practice based in Arlington, Washington.
A third-generation lawyer, Mr. Stafne has built a distinguished career advocating for justice, due process, constitutional rights, and the rule of law. He has represented individuals and entities in complex matters involving national and international legal issues, with particular focus on protecting ordinary people against powerful institutions.

Experience & Advocacy
Over more than 45 years, Scott Stafne has represented homeowners facing wrongful foreclosure, fishermen and processing companies under the Magnuson Fishery Conservation and Management Act, and clients in complex constitutional and civil rights litigation. He has served as an industry advisor to Pacific and North Pacific fisheries management councils and was a pioneer in early U.S.–Soviet joint venture fishing licensing.
He is known for rigorous advocacy on issues of judicial independence, Article III authority, and systemic due process protections. Mr. Stafne has also run for judicial and political office (including the Washington Supreme Court in 2012) and continues to publish scholarly and advocacy materials on constitutional and legal reform topics.
